The heart of the ship is the Grand Staircase, constructed from the original Harland & Wolff plans with its oak carvings and cherub statue. Here, a magnificent glass dome reflects light off oak wall paneling and elaborate railings and iron scrollwork. Wide, sweeping steps and landings provide a spectacular area where the original guests of the RMS Titanic made their appearances. You’ll be surprised to learn what the floor was made of – something considered most expensive for 1912.

All guides are certified in Standard First Aid/CPR and each trip is equipped with a waterproof first aid kit. Each guide is put through a rigorous training program that requires a minimum of 15 to 20 trips down the river before even qualifying to run a commercial trip. Before each trip, everyone is given a 20 minute safety talk. This is to better prepare you and your family for a safe and enjoyable river experience. Our reputation for safety is one of the highest in the southeast. Just bring a change of clothes and get ready to get wet! The Smoky Mountain Outdoors rafting pros will provide all the equipment you need. We recommend that you wear tennis shoes (or sandals with a heel strap), shorts, and a t-shirt or bathing suit.
